Very expected game when bottom-rankedSanta Ana (0-6) was crushed on the road by third ranked San Salvador (5-1) 91-57 on Friday. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana 's 24. San Salvador forced 20 Santa Ana turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Santa Ana 's players. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan-Colombian center Michael Hinestroza (210-1990, college: UALR) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Canadian forward Jonathan Rivera (206-2000, college: York) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Daylon Potts (196, college: Simpson, CA) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import power forward Dhol Majak (208-2000, college: Park-Gilbert, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Salvador have a solid three-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Metapan lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Santa Ana still closes the standings with six games lost.
